Purpose: To honor the faculty and promote good faculty-council relations.

Description: Members of the faculty are given a package of seeds with an
inspirational thought, such as "Teachers Plant the Seeds of Learning."

_____ 2. Appoint a committee.
_____ 3. Brainstorm for ideas.
_____ 4. Set date for recognition.
_____ 5. Take bids on packages of flower seeds.
_____ 6. Get a list of faculty members.
_____ 7. Photocopy card to go with seeds.
_____ 8. Deliver seeds and message.
_____ 9. Write appropriate thank-yous.
_____ 10. Take pictures for school/community newspaper.
_____ 11. Assign participation points and/or demerits.
_____ 12. Complete evaluation of project.


Alternative:

Buy small plants and put them in ceramic flower pots and paint a supportive message on the pot with a paint pen. Attach seeds to a trowel.

This is good for Teacher Appreciation Week.
