It has long been my contention that if something needs to be said, then say IT straight, say IT passionately and most of all make sure IT is useful. So if you are considering extending to me an invitation to your gathering then here is some food for thought.
Each program presentation is interactive and delivered with the specific audience in mind. Overall the core of my message is thought provoking and constant; the delivery from group to group will likely vary. So while my keynotes may vary in their applicable style, they are built on a few basic concepts:
Information should be truthful and thought provoking. Honesty is appreciated by everyone so I speak truthfully about the things I have observed. Topical presentations on drugs, alcohol and addiction require straight talk that is more than informational; it should make you think.
The quality of the life we live can be traced to the choices we have made in the past, are making in the present and are faced with in the future. Choices are not always identifiable but always present so we should choose wisely.
Fear is not a reason to deny ourselves an experience that could be beneficial. So often we are worried what others think about us that we limit the quality of our lives for fear of embarrassment. Unfounded fear should be challenged and conquered.
Our past does not determine our future it only explains how we feel about things and we could be wrong. Very often people find themselves saying that they believe something is true about the world around them because of how and where they grew up. They often use generalization or labels that describe groups of people in negative stereotypes. It is my goal to challenge you to widen your view on life.
