Audiences

Student Audiences

Albert Gonzales delivers a message of encouragement and hope.

Albert’s interactive presentations on making powerful, positive choices, putting off the pop-culture identity, the truth about drugs, losing the gang lifestyle and creating a "fear-less school" keep his audience involved and thinking.

As well as his keynote presentation, Albert’s workshops include:

  • Choosing your future
  • Diversity appreciation
  • Overcoming the odds (resiliency)
  • Bully Blocking
  • Reaching the uninvolved
  • Do more than “just say no”
  • Leadership strength training

Faculty/Staff & Parent Audiences

For over two decades Albert has worked with schools, churches and community organizations to maximize their effectiveness in outreach. He has worked as a Child Welfare & Attendance Supervisor, Youth Center Director, and volunteered as a Probation Officer and Church Youth Program Director.  His experience has lead him to help develop and implement a host of successful outreach programs which include summer leadership camps, a life skills elective course, and an alternative education school.

Albert speaks to educational professionals, support staff and youth workers on motivation, creating a "fear-less school," classroom control strategies, drug addiction, crisis intervention and closing the attendance gap.

Albert has spent as much time working with families as a whole as he has with kids. He has incorporated parent involvement into every outreach program he has ever implemented because he believes deeply that key to helping kids succeed is empowering parents to parent well.

His parent presentations are topical and include:

  • How to raise a drug addicted dropout
  • Courageous parenting
  • Do what you tell them

Albert believes life is best experienced with purpose on purpose.  His presentations challenge audiences to see the big picture: our lives beyond the moment we are experiencing.  To him, life is more than just the gain of possessions and “wee” experiences, but rather discovery and commitment to a calling.  He works with audiences using humorous observation, anecdotes, and participation activities.

Albert takes on each presentation with an individualized approach so that his message can adapt to your group's theme or topic and though each presentation is likely to be different for others they are built on these basic concepts:

  • Belief creates action so we need to question if our conduct reflects what we say we believe.
  • Life requires involvement but peer pressure can limit the joy of positive participation.  We’re not really as cool as we think so don’t be afraid to try something new; you might like it.
  • Fault finding is an exercise in futility.  If things aren’t working out then just find out what you need to do to make it better, and then do it.
  • Attitude is everything.  The one you choose will lead the way for your life experience.
  • Funny is only fun when your not putting others down.
  • Fear should never rule you.  Because we are social creatures we put lots of stock in what other people think.  That fear of "losing face" often limits us from being the best we can be.
  • Equal does not mean the same. People like snowflakes are miraculously individual.  When we discover our strengths and focus more on them more than our weakness then our purpose will become clear and life more fulfilling.
